Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 6:52PM Eliana was being very loud at dinner, so much so that we couldn't hear ourselves having regular conversation. She was going back and forth between squealing (just for fun, I suppose) and having a noisy talk with someone only she could see. Mike looked at her at one point and said firmly, but with a smile,"Ellie! Zip it!" She looked at him right in the eyes and shut her lips tightly, then pulled her finger and thumb across the line her lips made and sat with her hands in her lap. I almost fell out of my chair. I got myself together because I wanted her to take another bite of her chicken nugget, so I held her fork up to her mouth and sure enough, she put her finger and thumb back up to her lips and unzipped them for the bite.
I do not know where she got this. But it was too funny.
