Fitness Friday: Fool!
Here are the bottom lines:
I need to eat well all the time.
I need to continue to exercise.
Dieting for Dummies...that's right.
I tried sneaking in a very small amount of soda two times this week. Once, I didn't enjoy it. The other time, I enjoyed it, but knew I didn't really need to drink it (I had talked myself into it..."You're so tired!" "It's nice and cold!"). I also am back up a pound. Now. The total loss last week was 11.? (I can't remember...maybe .4?) and this week it was 10.4. I don't think the tiny amount of soda accounted for the pound, because 1 pound = 3500 calories. I'm sure it was a combo of some of the other things I ate (pizza, for example) and the fact that I haven't been jogging this week. We had a notice regarding mosquitos and West Nile Virus in our area, and I got a bit alarmed about running through the neighborhood. I don't go fast enough to dodge the skeeters.
I actually miss the jogging, and want to figure out a way to pick it up again. We do have a spin bike, but...I don't know, it's just harder to do that for some reason. There is definitely something to moving forward in reality, rather than pedaling and remaining stationary. At any rate, I know that I have options...no excuses for me!
I am going to keep plugging along. I foolishly thought that I could slack up a little and things would continue as they were when I was going gangbusters. I learned my lesson. (Picture me laughing. I'm not taking myself as seriously as it sounds.)
I'm not sure how long I'll do Friday Fitness posts. Maybe until I finish the Shred one more time (that is about twenty more days). I don't want to bore everyone to death. But I thank you very much for the encouraging words that you have offered! It helps to know that I'm reporting in to someone each week! Have a good weekend!

Ugh. It may be Dieting for Dummies, but it's SO HARD to stick to! But, if it helps at all, you are not the only one who struggles with this eating right and exercising thing. I do too. Not fun.
LOL about dodging skeeters I can't even dodge them in my home!! And yes and yes on the dieting being hard work. Being tired always seems to lend itself to making not-so-great choices for me, too. Hope you are back on track this week - go get em'!
