The Storm
That thunder rolled way off
Far beyond the clouds above.
Low it rumbled back and forth,
Warning of the storm.
The whipping wind around my face
Brought the rain down hard.
This was not the worst, I knew,
Even though the ground
Shook below my feet.
I knew that I might fall;
Suddenly the storm was full.
Towering, alive,
A mighty beast was pounding,
Pouring, piercing merciless-
From every side a blow,
When a voice
Pierced the piercing,
Met merciless with
Merciful arms and mighty roar,
But quiet calm comfort came
Rushing in and stormy sea,
Wind and rain, that hurricane
Was reined in, the One that
Reigns was near.
Here.
I found out this afternoon that my cousin's son was killed in a hit-and-run accident last night by a drunk driver. My heart is broken for their family, and I know that God is the only comfort during such a time. If you would pray for them, that would be powerful. Thank you.

Oh that breaks my heart. Lifting the family up right this second.
