Thank Goodness for New Starts
Let's try this again, shall we?
(And by "we" I mean all those personalities that share this one body.) (Of course, if you are reading this, you are welcome to join me. Us. Whatever.)
We spent a week in Virginia for Thanksgiving, and now we are back home. I am thankful. For both things! It was wonderful to be there and it is wonderful to be in my own bed. It's funny, I was walking through the hall tonight and noticed as I moved along that it smelled like home. This old house with its all-wood floors welcomed us back easily, and even something as simple as taking regular breaths made me realize that I actually like it here at times.
And we're moving! See? It's already starting...the I-miss-the-house-that-we-lived-in feeling, even though so many things about it drive me crazy while we live there. Well. It is inevitable. And for now, I will just enjoy the memories that we stocked up on while with my parents, as well as the pleasantness of being back in our home.
Tonight I am joyful for a good visit with family, a safe trip home, and a warm bed!
