For me, at least most of the time, using a camera to capture moments is a joy for the sake of the moment captured.

It's not about the technical beauty, composition

or finding the perfect light and following the rule of thirds.

Instead, it's remembering

and being able to feel a certain way again, or maybe even not being able to feel that way but to long for it with nostalgia.

There is peace in those moments.

And while it is so very true that time cannot be stopped

we can take precious pockets of time and freeze them to be revisited over and again, images and treasures alike.

They bear an immeasurable gift of telling stories from a time long ago, narrating our history without words

and keeping memories for us that will linger, poignantly, forever in our hearts, and before our eyes as well.
