A Question for the Masses

(or the five or six people who might read our blog...)

Where do you put your clean laundry when you take it out of the dryer?

Do you fold it right away and stick it in drawers and closets immediately?

Do you put it in a basket and leave the basket in the bedroom floor for a week?

Do you put it in a basket and add more clean clothes to the basket as you do your laundry?

Do you pile it on the bed and other pieces of furniture until putting away the clean laundry becomes such a dire necessity that you must take the hour and a half that should have only been fifteen minutes and put it all away at once?

Am I the only one with this issue?

I must know.

I usually fold it right away and place the piles of folded laundry in different baskets depending on what room it goes in. Then I try to put it away within the next hour or so but if not, at least it's neatly folded in the basket.

I don't think many of us have the problem you do with letting things pile up on furniture until putting it away because a day-long task in itself, LOL! :O)
I fold immediately...BUT...it depends on whose stuff it is when it gets put away. Alexis comes in when I call her and grabs her stuff and puts her own stuff away (hey, she's 10...she should be folding it all!). Mike's gets put on his side of the bed so he's forced to put his stuff away before he goes to sleep. I put my own stuff away, right away, And Dom's...well, poor Dom's stuff typically sits in a basket in my room until I'm done with all the laundry and can put his stuff away in one trip. LOL ;o)

I do all of the above except fold and put away immediately. Our laundry sits on the couch in baskets until I can fold it and put it away. It's more likely to get folded quicker if it sits on the couch because I can fold while watching a show (it's not such a terrible chore, then). If the laundry goes into my bedroom, unfolded in baskets, then we're in trouble. It may never get done. :-)

Right now, I usually dump it on the bed after I remove it from the dryer, that way I'm more likely to fold and put it away the same day! I can sort it (or have Judah sort it) if I have (he has) a break in between lessons and then fold it a bit later.

I immediately put the laundry on the couch or bed so I remember to fold it before it goes all wrinkly and needs to be re-tumbled. Then I fold it and put it in it's piles according to wherever it ends up going. Then it depends what I'm doing when I'm folding it. If I'm watching a good show that I'm focused on I'll leave it until I have a couple minutes to dash around the house and put it away.

As a side note I don't have a basket so I can't have it sittin in one unfolded. It works pretty well actually!
