Stopped in My Tracks

Well, I was exercising again. I've been walking/jogging a couple of times in the last week, and I've done both the 30-Day Shred video as well as some other exercise routine, just to check that out.

Then today I whacked my left pinkie toe on our vacuum cleaner. I have made an obstacle course of the hallway leading to the laundry room, and you reap what you sow. Moving quickly through a congested area will, at least when I'm involved, lead to injury.

Truthfully, the area need not be congested. I possess a special skill set, you see. It's not one I appreciate all the time.

The point is I don't think I can do any jumping tonight, and my video requires a good bit of jumping. Sit-ups do not require the use of my toes, so maybe I will do a bunch of sit-ups and call it good.

Whoever stopped by to read this is, I'm sure, so very glad they did.

Just in case you did (stop by) and you are (so very glad), I assure you that I will be exercising again as soon as I can. I was enjoying it again! I was very excited the other day when I jogged up the hill that is around the corner from our house. I made it all the way to the top, (at least to the intersection where I turn) and then came down the next street over. Last spring, I got to the point where I could jog up one, down the next, up the following, and down the final one. Then I would jog another flatter loop and work my way back to our house. I hope to be able to do that again; it was a great feeling!

So...back at it as soon as I am able. I toe-tally mean it.

I am delaying my morning walk by reading blogs and now you've prompted me to go put my shoes on and get after it.
